Foundation Events State of the Foundation and Appreciation BreakfastEach January, the Board of the CMOCF hosts the Annual "State of the Foundation and Appreciation Breakfast". During the 2009 event, (at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club) Chair Julie Janssen delivered the State of the Foundation report, detailing the Foundation's grants since inception of more than $160,000 donated for early detection research and over $130,000 donated out for patient support. Special guests included Fazal Fazlin, host of the upcoming "Turn the Tables" dinner and Carole Cowan, board member and recipient of the 2009 Celma N. Mastry Award of Excellence. Guest speakers were Dr. James LaPolla Woman's Cancer Associates and Dr. Jeff Paonessa of Gulfcoast Oncology.
