Location
The race starts at Albert Whitted Park in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg. The runners and walkers head north along Bayshore Dr., north to the Vinoy hotel, turnaround past Vinoy Park, and then south down Bayshore by the airport and back to the park. Almost the entire course is along the waterfront with city streets closed to traffic. The children’s (8-under) race will take place within the park.

Rooms are $99 for the event. Mention “One Step Closer to the Cure” when making your reservation. Shuttles run from 7:00 a.m to 10p.m. within a 3 mile radius of the hotel.
Categories
5K Competitive Run $35*/40 – a timed category with awards given to the top three males, top three females, and top competitors from each age group.
1Mile Competitive Run $25*/30 – a timed category with awards given to the top male and female competitors.
5K/1Mile Non-timed Run/Walk $35*/40 – for the noncompetitive types who want to enjoy a walk or jog along the waterfront and support the Foundation with friends.
Ovarian Cancer Survivor (free) – Ovarian cancer survivors and patients have a special category of honor and receive a special recognition t-shirt along with no entry fee.
Virtual Runner (Sleep-in) $40 – Not an early riser? This class is just for you. Register for this class and you’re done without getting out of bed before dawn. You even get a goodie bag.
Youth – 9-17 $10*/15 – May enter the timed 5K or 1-mile competitive run or non-timed 5K or 1-mile and be eligible for awards given to male and female top three finishers.
Children – 8 and Under $10*/15 – Will have races in the park and will be eligible for awards.

Ovarian Cancer Survivors
Ovarian cancer survivors in the event are encouraged to seek pledges for their participation. Please consider making a pledge in the form of a donation naming who you would like to support. We also provide a pledge form on our forms page.
Goodie Bags/T-shirts
The first 750 entrants receive a t-shirt and goodie bag filled with swag from sponsors. Complementary food and drink will be provided after the race.
Parking
Parking for the race is provided by Mahaffey Theater across the street from Albert Whitted Park.
Volunteers
